Dear Potential Investors,

The business management group of Kevin Lonkar, Nathan Barr, Shane Johnson, Corianne Lombart, Joshua Boyer, and David Mahay wish to propose to you our idea of a privately owned residential summer camp to be operated and built Kalispell, Montana along the northwestern shoreline of Flathead Lake.

We wish to name the camp “In-Tents Camping.” This name not only states our unique living arrangements with campers sleeping in canvas platform tents but also is a play on words with “In-Tents” referring to our camp being intense. Our camp will distance itself from the cabin living that many residential summer camps have gone towards and instead focus more on the wilderness aspects of camping.

We chose the location of Flathead Lake because it offers a great spot to perform some of the wilderness activities we will provide our campers however we specifically chose the location of Kalispell, Montana because it provides us the opportunity to provide the surrounding communities our services. We at “In-Tents Camping” feel that the area provides many wilderness resources and that we can provide a safe and fun opportunity to the areas youth to get out and experience them when they would not be able to otherwise. It is through our camp that we wish to instill a love of the outdoors to the youth of the communities.

Specifically the patrons of our camp will include boys and girls ages seven through seventeen. “In-Tents Camping” is open to any and all children with no prerequisites. As stated our camp will primarily focus on wilderness programming. Campers will be able to go on many wilderness trips such as canoeing and backpacking as well as do those same activities on camp property, rock wall climbing and high ropes course programming will also be a part of our camp experience. At the same time we will also provide traditional experiences to youth such as arts and crafts.

After gaining the funding needed to complete this project we intend to begin building on the property April 1st, 2011. We will then spend the majority of the warmer seasons to complete the project by September 15th, 2011. Being done by this date will provide us with ample time to begin marketing and promotion of our camp so that we can begin sessions for the summer of 2012. We will have a one to two minute commercial scheduled to air during children’s programming on television, flyers distributed through the school systems, and we will participate in sponsoring local youth events.

Throughout this report you will be able to read about ten essential components of “In-Tents Camping.” These will include the second part of our executive summary, research elements, programming plans, facility blueprints, ADA requirements, budgeting, risk management plans, human resources plans, LEED plans, and our marketing tools. Thanks for your time in reading this letter and we hope that you are excited for the possibilities surrounding “In-Tents Camping.”

Sincerely,

In-Tents Camping
